Emergency Management Committee

Members of this committee have worked to acquire an agreement from the State of Washington, Pierce County, for communications equipment to assist Pierce County Emergency Management Center durring a disaster.

This equipment thus far is for an allotment of 8 radios with the frequencies programmed into them so PCRWA members who are NIMS compliant may talk directly to personnel at the Management Center. An additional 8 radios are to be purchased and issued to PCRWA soon. The first batch have been distributed and training completed. More training will follow when the next batch are distributed.

PCRWA Emergency Equipment Committee may submit for additional equipment in the future. Members of the PCRWA should consider what items of equipment this may be. Keep in mind though that this equipment has to support the benifit of the PCRWA as a whole and not just one company. If you have suggestions for equipment please contact the PCRWA Board to be directed to the Committee members.
